Ann van Oeveren uses the painting name of Ann Van as
she has done since the 60's when Ann began painting in
oil. She has an extensive background in Art history and
was a well-known artist in the Netherlands with many paintings
in private collections.
She
moved to Salt Spring Island in 1997 and now paints mainly
water colour paintings. As she enjoys the living and the
beauty of our island, her paintings are inspired by the
sights of and around Salt Spring Island.
Ann
has previously exhibited her paintings in various locations
on Salt Spring Island, for example at Artspring, Artcentric
Gallery, Artcraft and Seafirst Insurance.
